Hi, I'm Darren Hamilton
An aspiring software engineer.
Hi! I'm Darren, a rising sophomore at Stony Brook studying Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. In my time here so far, I've explored my interests through events, seminars, information sessions, and conversations with highly skilled professors. I greatly enjoy learning new knowledge and concepts, thoroughly understanding them, and applying them to projects and research.
I am currently a research assistant working with Justin Burzachiello and am being supervised by Dr. Yuefan Deng. We are working on analyzing supercomputer topologies with Ricci curvature, which can hopefully allow us to establish a new metric for these topologies and possibly allow us to construct new, more effective topologies.
I'm also currently part of the Headstarter Software Engineering Fellowship, where I will be building 5 projects over the course of 7 weeks, culminating in a final project with 2 team members. I will also be heavily networking and preparing for interviews, enhancing my skills and enabling me to become a better prospective software engineer.
